Terms of use
Last updated 10 July 2026
Short version: this is my personal site and my own tools. Use them as they're meant to be used, and understand they're provided as they are, with no guarantee. The detail is below.
Who I am
This site, rimek.uk, and the tools and applications linked from it are made and run by Jakub Rimek, a sole trader based in Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland. You can reach me at jakub@rimek.uk.
What these terms cover
They cover this website, and the software I publish and link from it – the tools on this site and on my hub at kubatools.uk, including any application that connects to a Google account. By using the site or one of the tools, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use them.
Using the tools
Most of my tools run entirely in your own browser and save to your own device or a folder you choose. You're responsible for the data you put into them and for keeping your own backups. Use them lawfully, and don't try to break, overload or misuse them, or use them to handle content you don't have the right to handle.
Some tools produce documents for regulated settings – for example cleaning cards or standard operating procedures. These tools help you write and format those documents. They do not certify them and they are not legal or health-and-safety advice. Getting the content right, and having it signed off by a qualified person where that's required, is down to you.
Apps that connect to a Google account
Where an application I publish asks to connect to your Google account, it only requests the access it needs to do the job it describes, and it uses that access only for that purpose. It does not sell your data, and it does not use your Google data for advertising. Each such app's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. What a given app accesses, why, and how to remove that access is set out in the privacy notice. You can withdraw an app's access at any time from your Google account permissions.
What belongs to whom
The design, code and words on this site are mine unless stated otherwise. Anything you make with the tools – your documents, your data – stays yours. Some tools are open source; where that's the case, their own licence applies.
No warranty
The site and the tools are provided "as is". I build them carefully and use them myself, but I can't promise they'll be error-free or fit every situation. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for loss that comes from using them – so keep your own backups and check anything important before you rely on it.
Links to other sites
Where I link out to another site, I'm not responsible for its content or its terms.
Changes
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland deal with any dispute.
