01Who I am
On the ground first. Technology second.
I'm a director at DaVinci Enterprise and an assistant hygiene manager at a
BRCGS-certified Scottish food manufacturer – two sites, a team of 57, audited to BRC and
M&S standards.
I don't come from a computer-science background. I come from the machinery, which is why the
tools I build survive a real shift, not just a demo.
I walk into a process nobody fully controls, find the real shape
underneath it, and rebuild it as something that runs on its own. Structure creates freedom
– rules and routine aren't a cage, they're the frame that lets a team move fast without
dropping anything.
I don't need to know your industry on day one. Give me a hard enough
problem and I'll learn the field fast enough to fix it.

The flagship · In development
Hygiene Management System
The big one, and still being built: one place for everything a hygiene
department runs on – records, sign-offs, training, stock, the paperwork that usually
fills a filing cabinet.
A version is already live and in daily use, and it grows
every month. Where it's heading is simple. Replace the paper drawer with a single tablet:
every record, every check, every signature in one place, searchable and under control.
It's built to stay cheap to run and free to use, and I'm building it open source – so you can host it
wherever you like and pay only for your own server, never the tool.
Something a real factory can actually afford, quick to learn, and good to look at.
Hundreds of Standard Operating Procedures, once scattered across different
formats and different programs, pulled into one controlled place – numbered, versioned,
and with no way for two authors to clash a number.
Every machine on a live map of the floor, colour-banded by area and showing what’s
clean or overdue – so cleaning routing and a new starter’s first day begin from a picture, not a list.
Checked tray-end barcodes against the master list so a wrong label got
caught before the product shipped – built in two days, when a cyber-attack took out
the software that used to do it.
Machine guides overlaid on a photo of the real panel, opened by a QR on the machine,
in four languages – so multilingual staff are shown the button, not told.
One screen for the whole night – did the line get cleaned, by whom, on budget
– with ring gauges that flag what’s slipping before it becomes an audit finding.
One tool to run the whole business: your customers, your invoices and
quotes, the money in and out, and your stock – all in one simple app.
Start with what you need today, and it grows with your
business as you do. It came out of an invoicing tool I built for DaVinci, now being opened
up for everyone else – and priced like the rest, little more than the server it runs
on.
